What are the WTO Learning Tracks?

WTO e-Learning follows a Progressive Learning Strategy (PLS), offering structured training along two complementary learning tracks:

  • Generalists Track: For government officials seeking broad knowledge of the WTO and trade topics
  • Specialists Track: For those focusing on in-depth knowledge in a specific trade area

Courses are offered at two levels: PLS Level 1 (Basic) and Level 2 (Intermediate), and are available in English, French, and Spanish.

To enrol in a course on the WTO e-Learning platform, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your WTO e-Learning account.
  2. Go to the Course Catalogue.
  3. Browse or search for the course you wish to join.
  4. Click on the course title to view its full description.
  5. If the course is open for self-enrollment, click the “Enrol me” button to begin.

Please note that some courses may have specific access requirements, such as:

For Virtual Classrooms, participants typically receive a direct course link via email. You do not need to browse the Course Catalogue. Instead, simply:

  1. Click the link provided in the email
  2. Log in to the WTO e-Learning platform
  3. Enter the enrolment key, if requested

If you're enrolled in the wrong course or in the correct course but in the wrong language, you can unenroll yourself by following these steps:

  1. Go to the course page
  2. Click on the "More" tab in the top menu
  3. Select "Unenrol me from this course"

This will remove the course from your dashboard.
